Russian music

Dive into the harmony of music, movement, colours and light; live a unique experience with all your senses… That is the promise of this Russian music programme featuring the Zuber-Mayer Duo, the pianist Aimé Bastien and the dancers of the Dornach Goetheanum Eurythmy Troupe. Eurythmy, an art in its own right (eu-rythmos meaning “good rhythm”), is the artistic expression of music through specific body movements. Lighting and coloured fabrics add to the possibilities of expression by highlighting the atmosphere and content of the dancing gestures and shapes. Whether with Prokofiev, the composer for Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, Moszkowski, with his affiliation to Russian romantic lyricism, or Shostakovich, with his touching and colourful harmonies, music and dance come together in a concert-show filled with poetry and emotion.
