The Serenade–music wafting to the ears of the beloved on a beautiful night! Serge Minkoff, a filmmaker with a passion for music, and Gábor Takács, a fervidly imaginative conductor, present a production wherein the senses cross and mingle. Opening one’s heart to music means letting one’s emotions come forth. Closing one’s eyes while listening to a musical piece is to wander within a landscape of the mind. Looking at what the heart can hear… Serge Minkoff rose with enthusiasm to the challenge of creating and presenting a succession of filmed sequences that evoke the musical richness of the Serenade by Dvořák through images. Composed of five movements, each preceded by a film introducing the emotional climate of the music to follow, the Serenade illustrates an equal number of moods.
